Emeritus Access

The Biomedical Library is proud to continue supporting Moffitt faculty who have transitioned to Emeritus status. Our goal is to ensure you remain connected to scholarly resources and services that enable your continued contributions to research, teaching, and mentorship.

Library Privileges for Emeritus Faculty:

Emeritus faculty retain many of the same privileges as active faculty, including:

  • Remote Access to Online Resources – Use your emeritus login to access licensed journals, databases, and e-books from off campus.

  • Onsite Use of Collections – Visit the library to browse print materials and access electronic resources.

  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) – Request articles or book chapters not available in our collections through ILLiad.

  • Research Support – Consult with our librarians for expert assistance with literature searching, citation management, and research impact metrics.

  • Publishing Support – Access editorial, writing, and compliance support through the Office of Scientific Publishing.

What Changes After Retirement? Staying Connected:

While most services remain available, please note:

  • Personal accounts (e.g., EndNote, RefWorks, Covidence, etc.) may require separate licensing or renewal if not covered by institutional agreements.

  • Course reserves and instructional support are limited to active teaching faculty.

  • Grant-related services may be adjusted depending on funding status.

We encourage emeritus faculty to:

  • Check-out the Library's website & calendar for updates on new resources and workshops.

  • Contact the Office of Scientific Publishing if continuing to write, review, or mentor.
