Description

Meg Blount is the Sr. Librarian - Metadata and Applications for the Moffitt Biomedical Library. She manages budgets and invoices, maintains library catalogs, performs original and copy cataloging, and oversees database and digital resource maintenance.

She provides reference and technical support, assists with research software, delivers training sessions, and ensures the smooth operation of online platforms. In data curation, she verifies faculty CVs, disambiguates faculty publications/tags, prepares publication reports, and collaborates with IT to develop the publications module of Marcene, Moffitt’s homegrown database.

Meg has been with Moffitt for nine years and enjoys the challenges of health sciences librarianship.

Description

Mary-Kate Haver is the Medical Librarian for the Moffitt Biomedical Library. She creates a positive welcoming environment where each person feels comfortable asking questions and seeking assistance. Mary-Kate conducts literature searches, facilitates systematic review (SR) projects, hosts classes,"Drop-In"  and/or one-on-one training sessions for EndNote, LabArchives, PubMed, together with other library databases. She is a Distinguished Member in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) of the Medical Library Association (MLA) as well as holds Level II Specialization in Consumer Health (CHIS). Advocating the library as the first point of contact for any question or information search, Mary-Kate champions the promotion of health literacy for all.
